The button with ten blinds is the benchmark push/fold spot: it's the one players get quizzed on to check whether they know their charts. The equilibrium range is 79 hands, 39% of combos.
Push from BTN, 10 BB stack
The make-up: every pair and any ace, kings from K3s and K9o, queens from Q5s, offsuit broadway including Q9o, J9o and T9o, connectors JTs–76s, J8s, T7s.
Three marker hands to check yourself against:
- A2o — shove. On the button there is no offsuit ace that folds. Folding A2o–A5o here is one of the most widespread leaks in the game.
- K9o — shove, K8o — fold. The offsuit-king boundary runs between the nine and the eight; at 8 BB it sat at the eight — one blind moves one row.
- 76s — shove, 65s — fold. The lowest live connector. The suit is mandatory: 76o doesn't shove, not even close.
Against blinds who call too wide, trim the bottom of the range (T9o, Q9o, J8s); against nits, on the contrary, you can add back nearly the entire fold layer. How the boundary moves across stacks — on the 8 BB and 15 BB pages; the full chart for this stack is here.
